Description
The Med-Aire Plus 8″ Alternating Pressure and Low Air Loss Mattress System is for patients who need to reduce or prevent decubitus ulcers. Through alternating pressure, the mattress can dynamically change the patient’s pressure points and improve the patient’s blood circulation. Other advantages of the system include microclimate control and friction reduction. A Med-Aire Plus 8″ Alternating Pressure and Low Air Loss Mattress System is safe because it contains air cells designed to reduce the chance of the mattress sliding under. Should there be any issues with the mattress, there are 3 audible and visual alarms that go off before it becomes a bigger problem, and the mattress construction includes twenty different air cells. Three of these cells remain full or fixed in the head to keep the patient comfortable during the alternating cell therapy. Nine out of twenty cells are fitted with a laser hose in order to keep the patient cool and comfortable. It also reduces the required healing time. The pump included with the mattress pumps eight liters per minute. When air is pumped in, it passes through torsion-resistant, spring-lined tubes. In the event of an emergency, the mattress has CPR valves for incredibly fast deflation.
