The Premium Guard Gel Overlay foam cap to properly redistribute pressure and comfort. Pressure redistribution is ideal for those who need to prevent, treat and manage pressure ulcers. In order to design an overlay for everyone, Drive offers both standard and bariatric sizes. The obesity model has a weight capacity of 500 lbs. The Premium Guard Gel Overlay includes 15 bladders covering the entire patient contact area. These bladders are ideal for allowing the overlay to redistribute pressure as the user needs. In order to create an overlay that secures the mattress, Drive 4 added elastic corner straps to place the overlay securely on the mattress. They’ve also used very durable materials such as a water-resistant and vapor-permeable urethane-coated nylon cover overlay.
